Hey everyone! It's that time again. Check out July's Hat of The Month. A neat floppy brim sun hat. With a set of stripes and an optional bow. Hope you enjoy.

Items Used:
Clove Bamboo 16" circular needle size 8 (5mm)
Caron Simply Soft Yarn in Country Blue and Off White

Gauge:
5 stitches = 1 inch


Instructions:
Cast on 132 sts

Garter stitch for 4 rows
*remember working in the round to knit 1 row and purl 1 row for garter stitch.

Row 1-3: Knit
Row 4: *K4, K2tog; rep from * across - 110 sts
Row 5-7: Knit
Row 8: *K3, K2tog; rep from * across - 88 sts
Row 9: Knit

Crown Decreases:
Row 1: *K9, K2tog; rep from * across.
Row 2 & all even: Knit
Row 3: *K8, K2tog; rep from * across.
Row 5: *K7, K2tog; rep from * across.
Row 7: *K6, K2tog; rep from * across.
Row 9: *K5, K2tog; rep from * across.
Row 11: *K4, K2tog; rep from * across.
Row 13: *K3, K2tog; rep from * across.
Row 15: *K2, K2tog; rep from * across.
Row 16: *K1, K2tog; rep from * across.
Row 17: *K2tog; rep from * across.

Draw yarn through remaining 8 sts. Pull tight. Weave through to inside of hat. Weave in all ends of yarn and done.
