The fifth album by the Bronx-born, Puerto Rican bandleader and pianist Pete Rodriguez, "I Like It Like That (A Mi Me Gusta Así)" was released on Alegre Records in 1967, later acquired by historic salsa label Fania Records in 1975, at the height of the Latin boogaloo dance craze. The title track became the genre’s anthem and one of the most iconic dance hits in the history of Latin American music. Latin boogaloo is a melting pot musical genre born when young Puerto Ricans in NYC mixed African American music (R&B) and doo-wop with traditional Latin rhythms. It remains a culture of inclusivity; a musical way to find value in the commonalities and differences of all people.

Fania is celebrating the timeless "I Like It Like That (A Mi Me Gusta Así)" album with an official audiophile 180-gram vinyl reissue that boasts all-analog mastering from the original tapes (out 7/31) and a new music video.

This music video features archival footage the New York Latin music scene in the ’60s, as well as current dance party visuals. It’s reflective of the excitement that the song has generated for decades, and continues to generate today and beyond.
