To celebrate the 100 years of the line between Murwillumbah, and the junction of the New South Wales North Coast line at Casino in Northern New South Wales, 3801 Limited operated an unusual train hauled by two 49 Class locomotives.
The working from Casino to Murwillumbah conveyed rollingstock owned by the Northern Rivers Railroad that had ceased to exist in 2002. These former cars were shunted off the train at Murwillumbah. The return working only conveyed the passenger cars of the 3801 fleet.
This production captures a range of locations along the line with the 49 Class locomotives weaving along the circuitous alignment among the hills and mountains of the New South Wales North Coast region.
