On this day (December 2019), I hike/climb Angels Landing in Zion National Park in the state of Utah. This mountain at its highest peak is at 5,790 feet (1,765 meters), and journey began at the Grotto drop off point. It’s one of the most famous and inspiring adventures in Zion that anyone could experience. Although, since 2004, ten individuals have died falling from the cliff. That being said, it’s a one in a life time experience that one must have and the hike along the final narrow ridge to the summit has proven to be fatal for some visitors on Angles Landing. These travelers have plunged more than a 1,000 feet to their deaths after losing their footing (RIP). In memory of: Kristoffer Jones [14], Bernadette Vander Meer [29], Barry Goldstein [53], Nancy Maltez [55], Tammy Grunig [50], Regine Milobedzki [63], Tate Ryan Volino [45], Pradeep Beryl Solomon [35], Savannah McTague [19].
