Clinical Officers made good their strike threat prompting public hospitals to engage other means of filling the gap. Mbagathi Hospital, one of the referral hospitals resorted to engaging the services of low comers, but the Kenya Union of Clinical Officers warned that those engaged are interns whose services may not be up to standard. KUCO chairperson Peterson Wachira says the buck stops with the ministry of health and council of governors who they accused of refusing to honour a court order that had detailed a return to work formulae
