If you're considering applying for medicine here in the UK, there are some things you should ask yourself before making that crucial decision.
The first question concerns the reasons you have for wanting to do medicine. What are your motivations for being interested in this choice? Why this, and not nursing? etc.
You must also make sure that your grades are good enough, because although grades aren't everything, they do play a vital role in fulfilling requirements. Individual medical schools have different GCSE requirements, so apply to your strengths and don't be disheartened if your grades aren't as good as everyone else's.
Lastly, work experience is vital! Try your best to get some, as everyone else will have, and it's the best way of learning about what you're getting yourself into.
