This is the replacement of a transfer case in a 2008 Dodge Ram. This truck has 279,000 miles on it and its been a plow truck its entire life. I also pull heavy trailers with it so it's amazing the original engine, trans, and transfer case lasted this long! The reason for replacing the transfer case was the chain that drives the front driveshaft was stretched and would skip under heavy load while in four wheel drive.
