If you are planning where to go in Cebu, you will most likely come across one of the top attractions in Cebu, Swimming with Whale Sharks at Oslob. On this boat tour, we partnered up with McRich Travel and Tours on an extreme adventure. For those of you who didn't know what whale shark is, whale shark is a slow-moving, filter-feeding carpet shark and the largest known extant fish species and guess what? You can find them here in the Philippines.

We arrived in Oslob after two hours drive from Moalboal. As soon as we arrived, we were shocked by the amount of tourists who were already there. We had to get a waiting number and wait to be called until our turn. Fast forward 30 minutes, it is finally our turn. We put on life jackets and embarked on a new discovery adventure. Both Alina and I have never seen whale sharks or anything alike before so we were super excited. According to the pre-swim brief, there are few simple rules. 1. Do not apply sunscreen/lotions as it might hurt the whale sharks. 2. Maintain 5 meters distance from the whale sharks. However, what we didn't expect was that the whale sharks were so used to human interactions that they are the ones who didn't want the 5 meters distance. It was such an epic experience swimming with whale sharks so close up and we managed to take a lot of awesome photos and videos on this trip. Whale sharks are such gentle beast and they are so adorable.
