You can actually download a free lossless copy of this song and the rest of the album from that soundcloud link. These two 無菌EPs have really nice packaging though, with these thick inserts that sparkle a bit.
I kinda thought Kazuhiro Abe was a woman for a while in spite of his name. He has this singing voice that's almost feminine, although it sounds a bit more masculine here than most other songs he's worked on. He's collaborated with enso and Shin Sheena a few times, and he sang the other version of my upload "氷の灯." His vocals work well here for me, softening the bleakness that the song starts out with, but still keeping a wistful introspection about them. I really really like that moment when the acoustic guitar picks up at 2:03, and it really changes the mood of the song to something more bright. It's perfectly timed too, coming it at the end of his lyric.
