Unbox and Install: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition - 2160p / 4K

Today we will be unboxing and installing the GTX 1080 Founders Edition - ZOTAC Version. After hooking everything back up, I come to realize that my 46 inch RCA TV does not like HDMI inputs from any computer. The TV's overscan makes my desktop appear larger than what the screen displays. This TV was very cheap in cost and does not have an option to change the HDMI input to monitor mode. I am left with a tough choice that pushes my into the direction I should be going to anyway. The true 2160p / 4K Gaming Experience!

We then decide to some research and finalize a purchase on this 28 inch Samsung UHD 4k Monitor (UD590) to complete our mission. Display Port 1.2 in effect. Check it oouuuut!

The GeForce GTX 1080 is released under 6 different company names. Asus, EVGA, Gigabyte, MSI, PNY and ZOTAC. They are all the same exact card. I battled for the pre-order and was one of the unlucky ones to have a cancellation notice given from BnH Photo. Fortunately Newegg was still releasing available cards. When one became in stock, I instantly checked out and ended up with a ZOTAC one. The GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition will allow you to run games at 2160p resolution for true 4k gaming.
