Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini Achieves a New Milestone in Global Collaboration!
With Bhagawan's blessings, SSSVV has been collaborating with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants or the ACCA, which is a global organisation that certifies and accredits accountants. The goal of this partnership is to spread financial literacy to the schools and the communities in which SSSVV is operating. This also fulfils one of the requirements of the NEP 2020. Starting 2023-24, we have introduced structured financial literacy classes in 3 schools, viz., 1. Sri Sathya Sai Matric Hr. Sec. School, Chithode, TN, 2. Sri Sathya Sai Balagurukulam, Palayamkottai, TN, and 3. Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Macherla, AP. The material is prepared by the ACCA fellows, and select teachers in each of these schools are trained by ACCA. The material is available for grades 6 to 8. To deepen the impact, ACCA and SSSVV held FinLit Festivals at Chithode and Macherla, which were attended not just by the students and faculty members, but also by the parents of these students, family members of all the staff members, management members and elders from the community. Both the schools held competitions for the students (essay, poem, painting, and so on) and the winners received their prizes during the festival. The enclosed video provides a snippet of the success story and the feedback from the participants. SSSVV-ACCA collaboration has been impactful and transformative for those served and more so, for those serving to take financial literacy to the grassroots of Bharat through rural schools.
