The murder of Mary J Snow Baker in Brockton is a lesson in objectivity, seeing the bigger picture. Mary was murdered by her estranged husband Asa B Baker. He shot her 4 times and dropped a 40 lbs boulder off her skull. He then went on to make incriminating statements like asking people if they thought a body would smell if covered in leaves. Before the murder he made numerous threats around family members of Mary. Police found a gun on him missing 4 bullets. If the FKR looked at this case they'd think his statements and the gun didn't prove a thing and he was being framed. This was 1883 Massachusetts. They weren't mentally ill like now. They didn't worship communist/gangsters. He was facing a ROPE. He plead guilty to 2nd degree on the date of his trial 3 months after murdering her NOT 3 years. Murder took place right up the street from me. The murder weapon may still be there. Incriminating statements matter and the apple just like the boulder doesn't fall far from the tree. I have to feel she was cremated since she was unrecognizable when found. Asa died in prison in 1924, age 88, he's buried in the Bridgewater State Prison cemetery. Mary was 32 years old. Her father was a private in the Civil War, in the MA militia.
