DIY RV Awning: How to Make Your Own RV Awning

Welcome to a new episode in our RV Renovation Series! Today we’re replacing the old, worn-out awning on our Airstream Argosy with a brand-new awning made from high-quality Sunbrella® fabric. We’ll show you how to disassemble your awning, how to measure and sew fabric panels together, how to add an awning sleeve and valance, how to insert the spline cord and more. You’ll be able to use these techniques on your RV's awning even if you have a different model or camper style. Let’s get started!
