Tandoori Chicken Recipe ❤️ l Restaurant Style Tandoori Chicken 🍗
A classic North Indian dish where chicken is marinated in spiced yogurt, infused with lemon, garlic, and aromatic masalas, then roasted to smoky perfection. Traditionally cooked in a clay tandoor, but easily made in an oven or on a grill. Juicy, flavorful, and slightly charred, it’s best served hot with mint chutney, onion rings, and lemon wedges.
Main Ingredients
• Chicken – 1 kg (whole cut into pieces or drumsticks/thighs, skinless)
🍋 First Marinade
• Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
• Red chili powder – 1 tsp
• Salt – 1 tsp
🥣 Second Marinade
• Yogurt (thick curd) – 1 cup
• Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tbsp
• Kashmiri red chili powder – 2 tsp (for color)
• Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
• Coriander powder – 1 tsp
• Cumin powder – 1 tsp
• Garam masala – 1 tsp
• Kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves) – 1 tsp, crushed
• Mustard oil (or vegetable oil) – 2 tbsp
• Salt – to taste
🌿 For Serving
• Fresh coriander leaves – handful, chopped
• Onion rings & lemon wedges – as garnish
• Mint chutney – optional but recommended
