St George Hotel Spa & Beach Resort | Paphos, Cyprus | Flying to Paphos And Late Night Check-In | 3

Hello and welcome back – it’s Stick Man Steve here from Cruise Travel And Explore! 👋

This is vlog 3 of our 10-part series from our 8-night All Inclusive Plus holiday at the St George Hotel Spa & Beach Resort, an adults-only paradise in Chlorakas, Paphos, Cyprus 🌞. We booked this getaway with Jet2 Holidays, flying from Manchester Airport to Paphos International – and in this vlog, I’m taking you along for our full travel day experience.

🛄 What’s in this vlog?
We start early in Blackpool, with a 1hr 10min taxi ride (🚕 shoutout to Coastal Taxis – great service, £165 return). After arriving at Manchester Airport Terminal 2, we head to the 1903 Lounge – this time in the evening. We’ve visited before in the mornings and honestly weren’t impressed with the breakfast, but the evening food was much better! 🍽️

One odd thing – although the lounge advertises 2.5 hours, you only get 2 hours stamped on arrival, which was a bit disappointing and confusing. 🤷‍♂️ Still, it was a relaxing space and a decent start to our trip.

🛫 Our flight with Jet2 (Airbus A321NEO) departed at 3:05pm, slightly delayed, and arrived in Paphos around 40 minutes late. We had pre-ordered the Beef Massaman Curry (not bad at all!) and enjoyed a couple of little bottles of wine to relax 🍷.

🎒I had a heart-stopping moment just before boarding – I left my camera bag at gate A9 😱! Thankfully I remembered just in time and it was still there... it had all my filming gear in it – crisis averted!

🛬 Once we landed, the airport process included a face scan and paper printout at customs, and sadly our luggage carousel broke halfway through, causing a 20-minute delay – typical, eh? 😅

🚍 Our Jet2 transfer to the hotel was smooth apart from another delay – two families didn’t notify Jet2 they were making their own way to the hotel, which held us up unnecessarily. Not Jet2’s fault, just inconsiderate planning from others!

🏨 St George Hotel – First Impressions at Midnight
We finally arrived at midnight to a glass of sparkling wine on arrival – what a lovely touch! 🍾 In our standard room with balcony, we found two bottles of water, a bottle of fizz, a sandwich platter, and fresh fruit waiting for us. Very thoughtful! 🍇🥪

We couldn’t book the à la carte restaurants straight away due to the system needing 20 mins to reset, so we were encouraged to grab a drink – which we did! Two cold pints of Cypriot lager, sat under the lights of the stunning lobby area – what a welcome. 🍺✨

Once the booking system came online, we reserved all four included à la carte restaurants (you get one visit to each if staying 7+ nights on All Inclusive Plus). We booked:

🇬🇷 Pelagos (Greek)
🇮🇹 Mercato (Italian)
🇨🇳 Shogun (Asian)
🇺🇸 Route 66 (American)

Our first booking is tomorrow – so keep watching for vlog 4, where we take you to the Greek restaurant.

Before bed (about 1am!), I filmed a quick room preview – the full room tour is already in vlog 2, but I give a brief look in this one too.

This vlog is a bit shorter (around 25 minutes), and only around 8 minutes is at the hotel due to the late arrival – but don’t worry, the upcoming vlogs will cover excursions, daily activities, restaurants, bars, drinks, and loads more. Trust me – you won’t want to miss what’s coming! 🎬
