I wrote this tune after watching many of the TV events leading to the marking of the 100th. year anniversary of World War One, particularly the Peter Jackson Film They Shall Not Grow Old. It is written from a soldiers view point after returning from the war but it is dedicated to all those who didn't come home. It wasn't meant to be a Hand of Dimes song but the guys have kindly helped to make it happen at very short notice. Many thanks to Nev MacDonald for his vocals, guitar and production work, Mark Maybry for the bass and last but not least James Davies from the band Wynt for bringing something special to the the lead vocal.
