How do you tighten the headset on a bike or how do you replace and install an integrated headset? I've been asked these question often, so I decided explain everything from BMX headset bearings to preventing a wobble or being to loose and make a video on this subject!
My BMX bike maintenance has been slacking but a bad sounding creaking and wobbly headset is a personal pet peeve of mine so I had to fix this!
In this video I do a detailed step by step tutorial on how to replace the integrated headset on a BMX bicycle. Everything from what tools to use, how to lay down your spacers and other parts and to grease all the metal to metal contact surfaces.
Maybe even useful for all you freestyle pro scooter riders out there considering you use the same type of headset!
