Well, here we are... the next generation of clean air buses are officially in action, and if you've watch the previous video • MTA Maryland's 𝘙𝘌𝘛𝘐𝘙𝘌𝘋 BUS Graveyard (2025) of the '𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘳' generation of buses being placed in retirement, welp... here are their replacements.
There will be TEN of these XE40 +𝘊𝘏𝘈𝘙𝘎𝘌 buses -- part of a two-year 107 unit order -- to coincide with the FIFTY XDE40 𝑯𝒚𝒃𝒓𝒊𝒅 buses due to enter service by Fall 2025.
Also, MTA opted to go with 𝗟𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗜𝗜 (white color code) signage as opposed to sticking with the Luminator Horizons - for obvious technical issues due to the color coding glitches - that has been in circulation since the 13000-series coaches.
