"Vape Mode" (or Vaporwave mode) which never made it into the final game was going to be an optional mode exclusive to Encore Mode, but was scrapped due to being incompatible with the console versions. Vape mode slows down all of the games music, which sounds very different.
Vape Mode was discovered in the Steam version and can be enabled thanks to the efforts of @CodenameGamma a talented moder from the Sonic community, who provided a cheat-table which allows you to play Vape mode. Thanks to the cheat-table you can also play Vape mode in Mania mode.

I also disabled Super Sonic music so that you can hear the zone music all the time.
