Character Animation - Ratchet & Clank

this guy sounds a lot like Johnny Test, kind of suspicious if you ask me

I hadn't played a game from this series in a good 17 years or so but playing Rift Apart on my friend's PS5 a while back was my first experience with graphics above what a Nintendo Switch was capable of. I liked Ratchet's design so I put him on the future video list, making a special note to reduce the size of his eyebrows when I got around to it.


Tried a decent amount of new stuff with this one:
Converting a more complicated 3D design into something manageable for 2D animation
More variety in shot composition and storyboarding to make angles flow into each other better
More post-production effects like coloring the outlines

Audio is based on Ratchet's first cutscene in Rift Apart, stitched together with substituted/extra lines and other creative liberties.
