War Horse ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

In this vlog We go to see War Horse on its press night at the Lowry theatre in Salford. This took place on Sunday 22nd September 2024 and the show started at 2.30pm the run time for the show is 2hrs 40 minutes which includes a 20 minute interval Act 1 is 70 minutes and act 2 is 70 minutes. We were sat in the Stalls Row S seats 6 & 7 and my view from this seat was very good & there was plenty of legroom.

War Horse is a breathtaking theatrical experience that has captivated audiences for over a decade, and its latest production at The Lowry is no exception. Based on Michael Morpurgo’s beloved novel, the play tells the poignant story of young Albert Narracott and his bond with his horse Joey, set against the devastation of World War I. The stage comes alive through astonishing puppetry by the award-winning Handspring Puppet Company, seamlessly blending with Rae Smith’s evocative set design and Paule Constable’s expressive lighting, transporting the audience from peaceful English countryside to the war-torn battlefields of France. Adrian Sutton’s powerful score, accompanied by John Tams’ haunting folk songs and Sally Swanson's beautiful vocals, adds an emotional depth that underscores the play’s themes of love, loss, and survival.
With a flawless ensemble cast, heart-wrenching performances, and jaw-dropping technical mastery, War Horse is an unforgettable production that will stir your soul and leave a lasting impression.
