Suarez and Cavani arrive in Qatar | Uruguay squad arrive at team hotel, receive enormous cake

Luis Suarez and Edison Cavani and the Uruguay squad landed in Doha on Saturday, one day before FIFA Qatar World Cup 2022 kicks-off.

Head coach Diego Alonso will have his debut in football greatest competition withLa Celeste after he replaced Oscar Tabarez December 2021.

Qatar will probably be the last World Cup for some of the country's biggest stars. The likes of Luis Suarez (35 years old), Edison Cavani (35), Diego Godin (36), and Fernando Muslera (36).

Uruguay begin their Group H campaign against South Korea on the 24th of November, before taking on Portugal on the 28th, then Ghana on December 2nd.
