As a fundamental analyst, your objective is to find the truth regardless of what the street says. Evaluating AI for investment research is no different. While many analysts sit back waiting for the technology to come to them, analysts at the cutting edge are finding ways to operationalize AI in their own investment process and generating incremental alpha along the way.

AI implementation is easier said than done. “Plug and play” doesn’t work in this context. If you want to find ways to process more information at a higher velocity, you need to develop a plan of attack instead of haphazardly throwing ideas at the wall and hoping some stick.
