The D-Day That Failed - The Dieppe Landings of 1942

Smoke. Sand. Blood. Allied soldiers clamber from bullet-grazed transports onto the Norman dunes under a hail of German machine gun fire from the cliffs and hills above. But this isn't the start of D-Day on the 6th of June 1944. Instead the soldiers are Canadians, and the beaches are those of Dieppe, and the year is 1942.
