Hey beautiful! Today, you and Queen Zani are going to talk about upcoming character banners, future updates, and a few updates you definitely don’t want to miss.

Alright, let’s get into it.

So first, let’s talk about a really interesting future update. According to recent information from Iris, we’re going to get mecha piloting in future patches of Wuthering Waves. This will be a brand-new overworld exploration mechanic where our characters can actually pilot mechas. What makes this even cooler is that this mechanic is expected to be available to all characters, not just a select few. Honestly, this could completely change exploration, and it sounds extremely fun.

Now moving on to Version 3.1. The Version 3.1 beta is expected to start on January 9, 2026, so we’re getting very close. When it comes to the character banners, Phase 1 is expected to feature Aemeath, while Phase 2 should bring Luuk.

Now I know a lot of you are wondering about rerun banners for Version 3.1. At the moment, there’s no solid information, so this is purely speculation. My guess is that we might see Chisa and Galbrena return. If Chisa doesn’t get her rerun here, then there’s a good chance we’ll see Galbrena alongside Qiuyuan or possibly another older 1.X or 2.X character.

Looking ahead to Version 3.2, we’re expecting Lucilla to finally arrive. We don’t have much information on her yet, but she’s rumored to be either Electro, Aero, or possibly Glacio. Version 3.2 will most likely feature only one new 5-star character, but there is still a chance that Sigrika could appear alongside Lucilla. We can also expect a new 4-star character during this version.

As for reruns in Version 3.2, if Chisa doesn’t get her rerun in Version 3.1, then she’s almost guaranteed to appear here. If everything follows the roadmap, we could also see Qiuyuan return along with another older character. By the time Version 3.2 ends, it’s very likely that all Version 2.X characters will have already received their first rerun.

Now this is where things start getting really interesting—Version 3.3. If Sigrika doesn’t show up in Version 3.2, then Version 3.3 is almost guaranteed to be her moment. She’s rumored to be either Glacio or Fusion, and honestly, either option sounds good in the best way possible.

What makes Version 3.3 even more exciting is the timing. It’s expected to begin around April 30, and with Wuthering Waves’ second anniversary landing on May 23, this patch has a very real chance of being the anniversary version. And if that’s true, then you already know what that means, multiple banners, big surprises, and that same kind of energy we saw back in Version 2.3. This could easily be one of the most stacked patches we’ve had so far.

And then we move into Version 3.4, which honestly might be one of the wildest updates yet. This patch is expected to be a full cyberpunk collaboration, and based on current information, we should be seeing Lucy and Rebecca take center stage. The aesthetic alone has insane potential, so expectations are already sky-high.

Now, when it comes to rerun banners, the situation is looking pretty straightforward. Since Version 2.4 didn’t include any reruns, there’s a strong chance Version 3.4 will follow the same pattern. That means Version 3.3 would act much more like Version 2.3 did — a full anniversary-style banner that brings back all previous characters at once. If they repeat that structure, players could see another massive universal rerun lineup contained entirely within Version 3.3, making it a huge moment for both newcomers and anyone saving for older units.
