A residence designed to blend into the Central Otago mountain landscape. Rooted in local vernacular architectural traditions, the house utilizes schist stone, a gabled roof, and a ground-based placement to create a warm, calming shelter that is resilient to climate extremes. With a strong connection between the interior, materials, and the surrounding nature, the house provides a simple, integrated, and sustainable living experience.
