Celebrated filmmakers Rich Newey & Annika Marks sits down with Selig's Jenn Rohm at the 2025 Bentonville Film Festival to talk about their feature film ADULT CHILDREN.
About The Film:
Morgan is a sheltered 17-year-old, struggling to define who she is in order to write her college entrance essay. When a crisis provides her the rare opportunity to spend the summer with her 3 significantly older half-siblings, she hopes they’ll be able to shed some light on what it means to be an adult, only to be disappointed when she discovers they’re all faking it.
Filmmaker Bio: Rich Newey began his career in music videos, directing such artists as Phil Collins, Bone Thugs n’ Harmony, Ice Cube and 3-6 Mafia. He also directed commercials for brands such as Midway Games, Adidas and Proctor & Gamble. On the television side, Newey's directed numerous episodes for a variety of networks such as NBC, CBS and Freeform, as well as many successful TV movies. Newey’s feature directorial debut, KILLING ELEANOR, won Best Narrative Feature at the 2020 SCAD Savannah Film Festival and saw him nominated for the Emerging Directing Award at the St. Louis International Film Festival. He's currently in development on several projects, including an adaptation of his Grandmother's memoirs about her escape from Nazi occupied Poland.
