Michael Buffer joined ACE president Bill Linkenheimer III for the Grand Opening of Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa in 1999. I was there. Still have the special T shirt. Buffer cut a great promo out front, including his famous line, LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE.
He then did it on the mic in the station right before riding. The whole place went nuts cheering. Then when the coaster made it's pass over the station everyone cheered again.
It was a great ride those first couple of years.
