I’ve always had this soft spot for these weird rhomboid-like cases that Dell had for the XPS line at the time, but never thought I’d get my hands on one. Well, until now. Two of these types of machine showed up at ewaste and this one was the most complete with the other one being mostly stripped for parts.
It was a dusty mess but after multiple days of cleaning (and rust removal on some of the fan grills) and a motherboard recap, it’s back up and running and ready for fun.
Well, kind of. I have to redo my retro desk to fit it. Thing is LARGE.
