Yashoda, the mother of Lord Krishna, beseeches her son to come quickly towards her, dancing to the tune of the flute He holds. Each verse of the poem is dedicated to the attributes and beauty of Krishna, the source of all pleasure. He then reveals to His mother the Universe He holds inside His mouth, at the sight of which Yashoda’s Vaatsalyam (maternal affection) turns into Bhakti (devotion) and she worships, Udupi Sri Krishna as the savior of mankind.
