James Hopper (Virginia) started his college tennis career at Case Western Reserve, in Division III. After winning doubles and team national championships at the DIII level, he earned a huge transfer to perennial national championship contenders, Virginia. Here, James Hopper defeated Cooper Woestendick (TCU) during the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championships. However, TCU would go on to win the match 4-3 to advance to the semifinals.
Hopper is a graduate student from Montgomery, New Jersey. WTN - 6.97
Woestendick is a freshman from Olathe, Kansas. WTN - 6.95
