Assalamualaikum everyone! Happy Ramadan! 😊 I hope all your Ramadan goals are going strong!
So, back in February 2025, I decided to take a summer class—yep, even during the break. For those who don’t know, summer classes are optional courses we can take during our holidays. Since Australia follows a four-season system, summer is usually a three-month break. But instead of the usual 12-week semester, summer courses are way shorter—some can be completed in just 2 to 6 weeks! That means you get to finish a module faster and really focus on just one subject.
I chose to take this class to lighten my workload for next semester. If I keep taking summer and winter courses, I’ll only have to do two subjects per semester instead of three. This is kind of an experiment—is it better to take two or three subjects per semester? We’ll find out next semester! 😆
For this summer, I enrolled in the ZEMCH Sustainable Design Workshop. ZEMCH stands for Zero Energy Mass Custom Housing, so we’re learning how to design customizable homes that follow zero-energy principles—pretty cool, right?
This video is Part 1 of my two-week summer class experience. Stay tuned for next week's video! See you then! ✨
