Today we’re going to be talking about five signs your ex wants you back.

These are going to be a little bit usual, so bear with me.

First is that your ex experiences what is called a positive pull back.

A positive pull back is when you have an interaction with your ex that they actually enjoy, but then they go silent after that.

What’s happening here is that your ex is trying to feel you out. They are trying to reconcile the two different versions of you in their mind. There is the version of you that they broke up with. Then there is the version of you that they saw there when they were interacting with you.

If you’ve done your job well, there should be a stark difference between these two versions.

Your ex is pulling back because they do not know which version to put their trust in.

The second sign that your ex wants you back is that they are actually discouraging you from getting back together with them.

This happens because your ex is trying to make things easier for themselves. They are hoping that if they can just test you to see if you will walk away or give up, then they don’t have to actually go through the trouble of rearranging their life in an uncomfortable way.

The third sign that your ex wants you back is that they mention anything beyond a platonic connection.

And this is definitely true. So I won’t bother discussing it here.

Your ex will often keep things platonic while they are trying to figure out how they feel about you. This is because they are worried about accidentally giving you “false hope.”

If they are moving beyond the platonic with you, then it means that they do not care about giving you false hope anymore. And this could be because they are open to the idea of getting back together again.

The fourth sign is that your ex and you are able to connect on an emotional level, and not just a superficial level.

And the fifth sign is that your ex is actually expressing interest in other people. Your ex might do this because they are actually testing the waters to see if you are interested in them or not. It is an invitation for you to show your hand without them having to seem over invested by directly asking if you are interested in anyone else.
