Kite on art and ancestral technologies | UNDER THE COVER

The Oglála Lakȟóta artist, performer, and composer Kite celebrates her March 2025 Artforum cover with our Editor in Chief, Tina Rivers Ryan, in the latest episode of “Under the Cover.” Together they discuss the artist’s use of AI, working with embroidery, and how dreams are a form of ancestral technology.

Kite has solo exhibitions on view at Bockley Gallery in Minneapolis (through May 3), the List Visual Arts Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts (through May 18), and the Museum of Contemporary Native Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico (through July 13).
