Now I'm no history buff or teacher but hear me out... for OBVIOUS reasons the Vietnam war was horrendous, but from a weapons design perspective it pushed the development of small arm forward so far and it was a time where the firearms business was constantly pushing to deliver better more reliable products due to the harsh nature of their Intended environment.
