Spec Ops: The Line White Phosphorus Reaction

This is a clip taken from my let's play of Spec Ops: The Line, featuring one of the most harrowing scenes from that game, the "White Phosphorus scene."

The full let's play should be out soon, but it may take a minute (and need to be uploaded in parts) due to some issues it causes in my editing software from sheer length (hence why this isn't very edited, sorry about that).

This is filmed as part of an honors project, based on my essay on video game narratology called:

Pushing Buttons to Good Storytelling: The Uniqueness of Videogame Narratives.

Video game narratology is the storytelling ability of video games, as games can utilize many unique elements to make interesting stories. One aspect I focused on was egocentric moral experiences, or a moral experience that is based on your own actions that you made, in this case actions from a game. To showcase this, I have created a let's play of the game Spec Ops: The Line, going through the game's story and showcasing major moments through my own gameplay. I made this specifically for an audience interested in video games, as those people already enjoy video games, and could get a lot from a game that offers a good narrative experience. I think they would enjoy the let's play format as they tend to enjoy that on YouTube already. I particularly choose Spec Ops: The Line because its storytelling has a lot of turns that focus on how the player's decisions lead an entire city to complete destruction, despite your best intentions.
