Many people want to know should I have sheep or goats on my homestead or small acre farm. In many ways they serve similar purposes but they are definitely different. We will talk about my thoughts on goats and sheep. Here at the Flanagan Homestead we are running both on our pasture. In my opinion some of the main difference between goats and sheep are. Goats are friendlier and make better pets than sheep. Sheep graze grass while goats prefer to browse broadleaf. Goats are better in dry heat, sheep don't mind cold and rain. Goats are much harder to contain in a fence than sheep. @Flanagan Homestead
