Security forces achieved a major success in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district after busting a terrorist hideout during a cordon and search operation. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, a joint team of security forces launched an operation in the Kreeri area of Baramulla.
During the search, a large cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from an open field. The seized items include four Chinese grenades, 19 rounds of Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL) ammunition, and 46 rounds of AK rifle ammunition. Officials said the operation prevented potential terror activities in the region.
Investigations are underway to determine the group involved and possible links to cross-border terror networks. Security has been further strengthened in the area.
