This is how I made a simple wooden cherry box with pin hinges. I made it into a recipe box for my wife Cindy by adding a piece of purple heart for a card holder to the inside of the lid. This holds 4" X 6" cards. It is a lot easier to cut the rabbits before cutting all the pieces. I pretty much tried to figure out where I was going with this as I went along. The hinge pins are just brad nails that I cut off and I filled the holes with an 1/8" wood dowel that I had trimmed off. Making a box is a great gift idea and they are pretty fun to make.
