Solo Walks New Zealand in 4K: Mount Isobel Summit Track, Hamner Springs

In this third video I am climbing 1324m (4344ft) Mount Isobel which overlooks the resort town of Hamner Springs, famous for its hot pools. I am specifically walking the Jacks Pass to Mount Isobel Track which is further up the Clarence Valley Road about 5.6km from Hamner Springs. I tend to walk this route versus the more commonly used main route which starts in town as this Jacks Pass route is shorter with less elevation gain. A weather front went through the area the night before leaving a light amount of snow about the mountain during my climb the following day. A bit chilly but I prefer it cold for climbing!
I am making these videos to do something creative and help in getting me back out hiking again. Also with sharing these to the world, it’s for the enjoyment of other people who are unable to visit or physically do these walks themselves and for those who just want to see a different part of the world in a quiet and relaxing manner.
