A Kawasaki BX200LFE02 machine tends a Haas UMC1250SS milling machine at UITGEEST MECHANISCHE

Kawasaki Robotics partner RFA has delivered yet another efficient machine tending solution. In this setup, a Haas UMC1250SS milling machine is serviced by a 6-axis Kawasaki BX200LFE02 robot, featuring an impressive reach of Ø5,194 mm and a 200 kg payload capacity.

Equipped with a dual gripper, the robot enables fast and seamless workpiece exchange within the milling machine. The gripper fingers are adjustable, allowing for the handling of workpieces in various sizes. Additionally, a high-pressure blow nozzle mounted on the gripper flange ensures the clamp and workpiece inside the machine are thoroughly cleaned before each cycle.

Workpieces are picked from a grid table and returned there after processing. The robot cell is secured with safety fencing and light curtains, allowing operators to safely and efficiently load and unload parts on the grid tables.
