Soaked by the Rain Riding Into Engineer Town | Nyandarua 🇰🇪

Happy New Year and welcome back to the channel 🎉

In this video, I take you on a journey to Engineer Town, located in Kinangop Constituency, Nyandarua County. We visited this town just a few days before Christmas, and as expected from Nyandarua, the weather was cold, rainy, and dramatic — giving the town a very unique atmosphere.
Engineer Town is about 105 km from Nairobi CBD, 17 km from Njabini, and 59.2 km from Ol Kalou, the administrative town of Nyandarua County. It sits at an important junction, with one road heading toward Ol Kalou and Nyahururu, and another leading to Naivasha in Nakuru County.
In this video, I show you how Engineer has grown over the years from a small rural centre into a fairly modern town, complete with petrol stations, restaurants, street food, a busy roadside market, banks, bodaboda stages, and small businesses. We also explore key infrastructure such as Engineer County Hospital, the newly built access road, and touch on important observations within the town.

Beyond the town centre, you’ll see how farming shapes daily life here — with residents growing potatoes, cabbages, fruits like plums and pears, and keeping dairy cows, thanks to the fertile soils and cool climate of Kinangop.
This video captures the reality of life in interior rural Kenya — the progress, the challenges, and the stories that make places like Engineer Town special.
