Observations : Saw 1 Grey Nurse Shark (Sand Tiger) and a huge School of Pomfret Fish. Low swell and no current.

Observations : Nice visibility followed the North side of the reef and returned to boat early to let the other two explore as boat wasn't on the best corner.

ABOUT THIS FILM

A calm, real-time record of a dive day exploring the two reefs on opposite sides of Rottnest Island.

Today we are diving from my RIB "Fuzzy Duck". The first site is a large cave at the West End where Grey Nurse Sharks (Sand Tigers / Raggy Tooth Sharks) often congregate in the cave. Today we saw 1 Shark and a vast school of silver and yellow fish called "Pomfrets" The water was clear, warm and no current or swell, a perfect day.

The second reef was on the North East Side on a fairly flat bottom a spit of rock rises up near the main town at Thompson's Bay. I turned back to the boat early as the route back was simple but to get the best out of the site you need to meander. By heading back early I could be sure that I could then let the other two wander freely and I'd pick them up with the boat as the wind was increasing I wanted to be back to the boat sooner as skipper.

Note there is another version of this movie with the same footage 240212 - as I accidentally made another edit of this footage not realising I'd done it before. There are some slight differences.
