Welcome back to Episode 12 of the SUBARANCHO build — our insane 1-of-1 Talbot Matra Rancho on a Subaru Impreza WRX floorpan project with Jonny Smith from The Late Brake Show!
In this episode we take a HUGE step forward in this classic car body swap.
We start by pressing out the worn bushings from the Subaru running gear, carry out major fabrication work on the Rancho shell, and begin a full rebuild of the rear footwell to get the shell structurally sound and ready for test-fitting.
PLUS — Jonny sourced new Talbot Matra Rancho parts from another extremely rusty Rancho he tracked down, and those rare panels have finally been delivered! These parts could save us days of fabrication and help bring this iconic classic back to life.
