As a foreigner in India I eat local food in many different places. But the surprising part is how much Indian people want to share their food with you and I can't count the times when Indians paid for my food in a restaurant as they invited me to eat, even in their own home at times. The guest is God in India and they even have their own saying for that, something that Western media doesn't show enough.
