Why I still use old midi sequencers

I like to keep my old midi sequencers around for those days when I need a little boost of creativity or inspiration. Setting up an old school sequencer rig, messing around and recording something on that, will take my brain into another direction and the result will be different. I always hope that the difference will be magic. Nostalgia can be a great thing. It can also be a dead end. One never knows. It's like opening a box of chocolates.

In this video it's all mixed live on the Yamaha DM3 mixer, with internal effects and processing. Some additional reverb, chorus and delay from the Zoom MS70cdr, especially on the piano.
