Birth Vlog! 👶🏻 Last minute C-Section at Mt Alvernia (Delivery & 24 hours after)

The baby is here!! Welcome to the world, darling! (we didn't decide on her name until 2 weeks later hahaha)

Went to the doctor for our 39 week checkup, brought our hospital bag along just in case. Due to supposed slower fetal growth rate and reduced fetal movement (i thought the baby moved 70% less the day before), doctor advised us to make a decision on that day. Between induction and waiting it out for natural delivery/labour , vs scheduled c-section, we deliberated for like an hour and decided on the c-section. It was relatively rushed as well because the operating theatre and anaesthetist only had certain time slots that were in like 3 hours time lol. I chose c-sec cuz my cervix was not open at all and i wasn't confident that it would open even after 48 hours.... the emotional/mental/physical toll would be crazy. and if i still had to do an emergency c-sec at the end of it, it would've been costly and really exhausting... was not feeling lucky lol so didn't wanna take my chances.
All to say, my efforts for preparing for natural delivery were down the drain.. zzz. haha.

Everything happened so quickly. Only standard rooms were available (it seemed to be a popular date to give birth cuz of it being 12.12.24 - a nice number). Operation was scheduled for 3pm. I was wheeled in to get the laughing gas/epidural spinal thing first (20mins before). 3.05pm my doctor and husband came in. Baby came out at 3.09pm!!! What?!??!!?!?!

Not much baby content, but hope this video helps someone preparing for delivery! Please feel free to ask me any questions in the comments section. I was sooo worried as well.
