If you've ever tried to create a Surface Loft in Fusion 360 and struggled with selecting just part of a spline as your spine — this one’s for you.
In this quick tutorial, I show you how to break up a spline sketch so you can select individual segments for surface tools like lofts. While Fusion 360 doesn’t have a direct “Split Spline” tool like SolidWorks, there is a workaround using the Break tool inside a sketch.
✅ Use construction lines to define break points
✅ Apply the Break tool to separate spline segments
✅ Gain precise control for surface loft paths
✅ Perfect for surfacing workflows and organic shapes
Whether you're building clean transitions or matching surface sections, this tip will give you more control and flexibility with your surface modeling.
