In September 2024, during a two week long business trip to the Dutch city of Enschede I was able to groundhop FC Twente's home stadium; Grolsch Veste.
FC Twente are arguably the best of the rest in the Eredivisie, behind the big three; Ajax, Feyenoord & PSV to be more specific. Having one league title to their name, three KNVB Dutch cup's and runners up to a Europa league once upon a time.
Nevertheless, they do have a reputation for housing loud and passionate fans, even more so when they are a one club city .. or region?
A great introduction to the dutch football scene.
