I wrote these lyrics as a poem back in 2014 to exalt the person and work of Christ. Last year I decided to set it to music. May this song point you to take refuge in Him!

The Lord Has Come Lyrics:

Verse 1
To withered lands and days of dread
Was He sent among the dead
As the Prophets long foretold
He would restore the hearts of coal
Long expected He arrived
For the nations He would die
Lowly born outside the inn
Was the Christ to redeem sin

Chorus
Glory Glory To our King
With the angels we shall sing
Hallelujah Praise the One
Rejoice Rejoice The Lord has come

Verse 2
Upon the news the Shepherds came
To behold His mighty name
Immanuel the Wise Men knew
To worship Him the King of Jews
In Nazareth He was to live
To prepare His life to give
Fulfill the Scripture was His call
Upon the Cross to bear it all
